Trip to Cali

We made it home on Wednesday night from our trip to Cali.  We had such a good flight there.  Well, the flight was very long of course, but we lucked out and sat in the middle of two very nice young men.  One of which I nicked named, the Baby Whisperer.  You know those people who have a calming effect on kids.....  Owen just loved this guy and smiled and giggled with him the whole trip.  We made it to Cali and it didn't take too long to settle into our routine and get Owen sorted out from his jet-lag.  I was very proud of him and considering all the changes he did so well.  I never had to give him a sleeping aid. Although, on the way home by the 3rd hour I was going to, but I looked down and he had finally passed out.

It was so great to met and hold Aidan for the first time! And I determined very quickly that he's a real Mommies boy!  And Mike is also one of those  Baby Whisperer's!  He definitely calms Aidan and Owen smiled and laughed each time he walked into the room.  He thought Mike was very cool and would settle down for him.  Poor Owen called every man he saw on the trip Dada.  He even called Al Roker, Dada!  So that gave us all a good laugh!  I loved seeing Aidan and listening to all his tiny baby sounds.  And you know, I had really forgotten Owen ever being that small.  That's kinda sad!. Where does the time go?  Why does it have to go bye so quickly?  There was even one night when we adults sat over dinner and talked about discipline and parenting techniques.  Boy did that make me feel old!  Lol!  And the reality hit that Owen is no longer a little baby.  Anjoli referred to him as, Big Boy.  And he really is, but that's a hard one to accept - just yet :)

Anjoli and I talked ourselves silly.  We always try so hard to cram in so much!  A week is never enough time.  We had a good time making some wonderful food together!  We drank great wine, talked about the boys, shared stories, dressed them in matching clothes, had a welcome home party for Aidan, and took walks and went shopping.  It was so nice to have that time with her and I wish we lived closer.  On the last day we made sure to get the boys together for their first photo shoot.  The first of many to come!  I can't wait to show them these pictures when they are older!  I know they are going to be best buds!  And when Owen and Aidan are bigger I hope they can spend long summers together!

And one of the best moments, was when Anjoli and I were in the kitchen talking and we heard chattering coming from the living room.  We look over and see Aidan and Owen talking to each other.  That was the sweetest thing!  I wonder if they were saying, Boy I wish our Mommies would stop talking so much!  Lol!
